Body-Mind-Spirit - Inspiration for Writers, Dreamers, and Seekers of Health & Happiness
Have you heard the saying, “Writers don’t let writers write alone?”
Writing can be complex and scary, and even though we do it by ourselves, we can also write with a community, and we can do it with the support of mentors and teachers.
I’ve been fortunate and grateful to work with many teachers and mentors I respect and admire—thank you, Brooke Warner and Tracey Brown.
It’s essential to have people in your corner.
A young poet reached out to me last week and said, “I have plenty of people in my circle but no one in my corner.”
We all need someone in our corner. We need support. We need to know we’re not alone.
I’m starting two new writing circles the week of April 17.
Writing Circle participants blow me away with their honesty, courage, and devotion to finding and sharing their truth.
Hanging out at a place where people let their guard down to explore what’s present, even when they don’t know what that might be, inspires me daily.
I learn from every person who shows up and am grateful that I, too, have a space where it’s okay to be my imperfect self. I’ve learned a lot navigating my anxiety, insecurities, and fears.
We’re all in this human stew together. When I listen carefully, I’m guided in terms of when and how to stir the pot, when to keep things covered, and when to lift the lid to let out steam. My job in these circles is to welcome new ingredients. The flavors blend and settle all by themselves.
I have one seat left in the Wednesday circle and two in the Thursday circle. There’s an 8-person limit for each circle. These spots will fill soon. If you’re interested, act now.
I’d be happy to speak with you if you have questions, and if it’s a good fit, I’d love to welcome you to the circle!
